Terms and Conditions

1. Scope and seller

These terms apply to all orders placed through this website and to any enquiry you send us through it. The contract is concluded with:

The artworks are created by the painter Else Streifer-Schröck. Original paintings are shipped from her studio in Gauting, Germany. These terms are written for consumers; if you buy for your business, please contact us before ordering.

2. Products

• Original paintings are unique works, made and signed by the artist. Each is sold once; the quantity is always one. Dimensions are given in centimetres and may vary slightly.
• Fine art prints are open-edition reproductions printed to order on matte fine art paper, in the sizes shown on each product page. Prints are not signed unless stated. The quoted size includes a white border.
• Colours on a screen depend on your device and may differ slightly from the physical work.

3. How the contract is concluded

Showing a work on this website is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. By clicking the final payment button in the checkout you place a binding order. We confirm receipt by email; the contract is concluded when we send you this order confirmation. If a work has been sold in the meantime or cannot be delivered, we will tell you at once and refund any payment in full.

The contract language is English. We store the text of your order and send it to you with the confirmation email.

4. Prices

All prices are in euro and include the value added tax applicable to the sale. Prices shown in another currency are indicative conversions; the amount charged is the one shown in the checkout. For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties and taxes may be charged by your country on arrival and are borne by you.

5. Shipping and delivery

• Original paintings: shipping is free. Each painting is packed by hand and sent by insured carrier from Gauting, Germany. Delivery usually takes 5 to 10 business days within Europe and 10 to 20 business days to the United Kingdom and the United States.
• Prints: shipping costs are shown in the checkout before you pay and depend on the destination. Prints are produced within 1 to 3 business days by our printing partner, as close as possible to your address, and then shipped.
• We deliver to the countries offered in the checkout. If your country is not listed, write to us.
• Risk passes to you when the goods are handed over to you. If a parcel arrives damaged, please photograph the packaging and the work before unpacking further and write to us within 48 hours so that we can claim with the carrier and resolve it quickly.

6. Payment

You can pay by credit or debit card, Klarna, Shop Pay or Google Pay. Payment is processed securely by Shopify Payments; we never see your full card details. The amount is charged when you place the order.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The details, the conditions and a model withdrawal form are in our Right of Withdrawal page, which forms part of these terms.

8. Retention of title

The goods remain our property until they have been paid for in full.

9. Warranty

Your statutory warranty rights apply. If a work is defective or not as described, write to us and we will repair, replace or refund it as the law provides. Natural characteristics of hand-made works, such as slight variations in texture or in the application of paint, are part of the work and are not defects.

10. Copyright and use of images

Buying an original or a print gives you ownership of the physical object only. All reproduction and publication rights in the artworks remain with Else Streifer-Schröck. You may not copy, reproduce, publish or use commercially any image or text from this website without her prior written permission. Sharing a link to the site is welcome.

11. Enquiries and contact forms

When you leave your details to receive the catalogue or ask about a work, no contract is concluded and nothing is reserved. We will contact you by phone or email to answer. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Statement.

12. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory product liability law. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual duties and limited to the damage typically foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

13. Dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If you have a problem, please write to us first; we answer every message personally and aim to find a fair solution.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Nothing in this clause deprives you of that protection.

15. Changes

We may change these terms with effect from their publication on this page. Orders already placed are governed by the version in force at the time of ordering.
